Susan Zizza has several books in the proposal stage, on the following subjects:

• An illustrated collection of poems revealing one woman's reflections of half a century on a northern New England farm, from the Great Depression years onward.

• Stories showcasing 12 women of northern New England, from the mid-1800s to the late 1900s, who chose occupations rare for women of their time. The list includes a physician, lawyer, newspaper editor, hunting lodge owner, fishing guide, minister and more.

• A rural photojournalist’s reflections of 20 years on the beat at small town newspapers in New England’s northern tip.
